Heather and Lorne

Heather and Lorne couldn’t have asked for a more perfect location and day for their wedding. The space was tented and the ceremony was held over looking the gorgeous pool and landscape. Everyone commented on how beautiful everything was. The staff were very attentive to the guests and did an amazing job. Katherine Parris of Events by Parris worked with Heather and Lorne on the wedding planning and the day-of execution to make their dream day a reality and success. Congratulation to you all!

Beat the Heat and Get Married On Time

I didn’t think I would be saying this so soon into to summer season, but today was incredibly hot (I know, six months ago I was complaining about the cold and wishing it was summer). There were so many cars overheating on the road and the traffic was terrible. If you were on your way to your wedding ceremony or wedding reception and happened upon a day like today, it could be upsetting to you.

The summer months are full of surprises like bad traffic and very hot weather. The only way to overcome surprises is to plan for them. Since you never know what the traffic is going to be like, it is advisable to give yourself plenty of time to get to your wedding ceremony/reception. Map your route and have a map handy just in case you need an alternate route to get around problem areas. When you get to your destination, use an umbrella to block the sun - it will make you feel up to six degrees Celsius cooler. And guys, don’t be afraid to take off your jackets, when it is appropriate to do so, as well as having bottles of water on-hand.
